2020 Project 366

Project 366 – Week 27

I’m working my way backwards, but thought I’d jump in to the blog hop again from the correct week!

Tomorrow our little one will be 5 months old and the time has flown by despite COVID or as I like to sing CORONA! when things aren’t going as I expect. It’s been a busy week in comparison to many many other weeks, Sunday we headed home from a one night camping trip – check it out here – and the rest of the week has involved the usual walking up and down our street, playing with A and the cats and trying to sort the yard out!

180. Take down from our camping trip, I love wearing her it makes it much easier to do things like help put up and take down a tent!

181. I ordered a couple of large mirrors to go in A’s playroom and she loved seeing herself, it was really nice not holding her up to see in the bathroom mirror too. I finally used the blanket I made last year! It’s a perfect play mat size so I don’t know why I haven’t used it before.

182. We live in such a green area, I try to get out each day for a walk and the better weather makes it easier. This little ladybird looked really bright on the leaf.

183. This rose is called “Grit and Grace” and came from one of my managers as a house warming and baby welcoming present. The initial plan was to have a housewarming and meet the baby day event in April…CORONA!

184. After work walk for us all. She really fought against being worn today, I don’t usually look strangled by the wrap!

185. We had a rough night on Friday, or at least the cats did. Nursing A and they both joined us in the bed which is usually fine, but Max went in A’s dock and Marie between my legs! Max refused to leave the dock even when I lifted it up, and Marie just inched higher when I tried to lay down. Hubster to the rescue!

186. I ran shouting into the garage “we’ve finally got deer in our yard!” There are so many deer around here, I see them at least twice a week but never at ours….until today. Young deer by the looks of things.

This is a blog hop so join in, or have a wander through.

  1. The blanket as a playmat really works well with all the patterns and colours. Had to giggle at the cats – they were clearly very comfortable.

  2. Nice to see you back. How funny having deer in your garden. We’re on a farm, but don’t get them coming that close. But then we’ve got dogs around.

  3. Aww! Lovely photos and how wonderful that you went camping with a little one. I wouldn’t have been brave enough when my two were that young.

  5. Hope the deer don’t eat any of your plants. Baby wearing is brilliant, makes life so much easier, used it a lot with the youngest for the hours after older 2 came in from school to do homework, tea and bath and bedtime routine, he never settled between 4 and 6 pm for weeks.
Oh dear with the cats muscling it, well done hubby for the eviction.

  6. I love baby wearing – it does make life so much easier being able to have your hands free! Love that blanket and A looks like she is enjoying being able to see herself in the mirror. What a beautiful rose and such a lovely gift from your manager. How lovely to see deer in your yard. #project366

  8. Awwww yey! It’s so lovely having deer in your own garden… it’s almost like a prvilege, so glad you managed to get a picture! You were very brave going camping, but I expect it was a lovely break away, staring at the same four walls is boring now! :/ Hope you are having a lovely week! Sim – Sim’s Life x

    1. Haha yes! The same walls are really boring, I had all these plans for baby classes etc and meeting other new parents but alas it wasn’t to be. It felt like they had finally decided we were worthy of visiting!

  9. Welcome back! Your baby is a cutie, and the baby blanket is very pretty. The cats taking over the bed made me smile. I remember our old cat who used to climb on my chest, and I could hardly breathe, he was so heavy, but also so warm. How lovely to see the deer in your garden, hope they didn’t eat any of your plants. I tried baby-wearing with both of my boys, but never got the knack of it.

    1. Thank you. I think I lucked out with a very content baby at the start so I could practice putting her in the moby wrap! Our cats are so heavy and warm too that I never like moving them off me in the winter, summer is too warm!

  11. OooOOo camping! Cute baby, especially when babies look at themselves in the mirror. But do be careful as the mirror can break and fall on the baby. What a pretty dose of red on the expanse of green. Hahaha you do look strangled. Wow, so much excitement in seeing deers! They look so elegant and graceful

    1. Thank you! Oh yes, we’ve been careful with baby proofing. We are waiting for a piece of furniture to come in stock and then we can attach the mirror to the wall, in the meantime I’m with her all the time. Plus it’s the flexible acrylic fake mirror 🙂
