Well it has been an age, September 2020 to be more exact. Simply; I did not have the time nor the umpf to write on here, post, read or follow. So I took a break.
Reevaluated what the purpose is.
Do I try again? What do I post about? Hiking guide with littles? Things to do? Daily life? Crafts? Etcetera … you get the drift.
First things first; I don’t even know how to write. Narrative? Personal? Reflective? I’m not sure, I’m still not sure!
Anyway; how is our life since a trip to Little Si back in 2020? Big and small changes. Firstly:

We welcomed C back in summer 2022, he is the extra in the family we never knew we were missing until his arrival. Safe and sound for both me and him at home, surrounded by big sister A and hubby. Plus midwives and doula and the same birth photographer we had for A’s arrival – who is now one of my very best friends.
Prior to C even being a thought rest of 2020 and 2021 continued with hikes, snowy filled days cross country skiing, playground trips and my clumsy attempts at making friends! I took A backpacking, camping, on holiday sometimes with hubby and sometimes without. We stayed as safe as we could throughout the scary times of not knowing what was going on with the pandemic and children. Then I became pregnant end of 2021 so we brought things back close as we still weren’t sure what the risks were especially with my miscarriage history.
Here are a few snap shots of those years.

So what have we been doing since C? I continued to hike, camp and play until I couldn’t anymore and since his arrival we have been taking things slower. It is much harder to get out the house with two littles ones, so the rest of 2022 blurred into one. Mum came out to visit for a while, and I am discovering what my body and mind can manage.
Heres to hoping for a really wonderful 2023 with more ups and highs than there are lows and downs.
We also did our first family backpacking trip….I’m going to leave someone behind when I go later this year….and I don’t mean A!

Oh and I’ve been learning how to sew clothing, very very slowly but I can make leggings that fit over cloth diapers and some dresses. This dress is the one I’m most proud of, and I don’t think I’ll make another one out of the top fabric.

And that brings us up to now! It’s March 2023; I have a cat by my feet, a 3 year old fast asleep upstairs for maybe 2 more hours and a baby snuggled on hubby whilst he plays a computer game. We are a dysfunctional yet functional family with me who just wants to share things we do and love, and capture moments that we can look back on in the future. Whilst also wondering what is too much to be shared and how our children will feel in the future about being on here – one day this might all be archived, I just don’t know.
Thanks for joining along with us 🙂
